The Department for Energy and Climate Change has announced several incentive schemes to promote the uptake of renewable energy solutions and renewable heat solutions as part of the UK’s strategy to reduce carbon emissions by 34% by 2020.


These incentive schemes pay by the kWh of renewable energy generated and suddenly transform what used to be borderline business cases into “no brainers” which can pay for themselves in a few years and provide ongoing returns for up to 20-25yrs, long past the payback period of the technology.
